EF Education First (abbreviated as EF) is an international education company that specializes in language training, educational travel, academic degree programs and cultural exchange.
EF is the largest private education institution in the world, represented in 100 countries and subcontracting 23,000 language teachers. The company administration employs 4000 people.[1] EF was founded in 1965 by Bertil Hult[2], in the Swedish university town of Lund under the name Europeiska Ferieskolan (European Holiday School). The company is privately-held by the Hult family[3]. Its headquarters in Lucerne, Switzerland.[4]
Hult International Business School, named for Bertil Hult, is affiliated with EF.[5][6][7][8]
